With a proud heritage dating back to 1936, Chelmsford Star Co-op Funeral Directors has been supporting families across Essex for generations. As part of the Chelmsford Star Co-op family, we have always cared passionately about the service we provide – from the very first contact through to aftercare and bereavement support.

In September 2025, Chelmsford Star Co-op – a long‑established co-operative society with over 150 years of history – became part of Central Co-op, one of the UK’s largest and most respected co-operative societies. This new chapter strengthens our ability to serve local communities while preserving the values and traditions that make our funeral care unique.
