COLLEAGUES at Central England Co-operative Belper store are getting set to host a fun day to raise money for charity.
Staff at the store in Strutt Street have organised a day of activities on Saturday, July 9, to boost fundraising for the Society’s corporate charity Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.
The day will include stalls selling products, a lucky dip for children and colleagues and customers will be able to pay to ‘soak a manager’ by throwing wet sponges at them.
A raffle is also taking place with the star prize being an exclusive England football shirt donated by bosses at the national team’s training base, St George’s Park, in Burton, and a football from Belper Football Club.
Newlife is dedicated to providing information and practical support for children with disabilities and their families.
Although Newlife is a national charity, every penny raised by Central England Co-operative is helping children in the Midlands.
