Expressive flavours of cassis and mulberry, complemented by juicy black fruits for which the region is renowned
Cabernet Sauvignon vines are perfectly suited to the Coonawarra region and renowned for producing very high-quality fruit. With nutrient rich Terra Rossa soils on a fossilised limestone base, and located on the doorstep of the Great Southern Ocean, its brilliant blue skies and cooling breezes allow grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in intense fruit flavours.
Vibrant and intense on the nose with with black fruits and ripe cherry aromatics. Flavours of plush dark berries and earthy toasted spice characters layered over cassis and dark chocolate. The palate is seamless with a rich and balanced velvety finish. This wine was fermented at cool temperatures, with extended time on skins allowing the palate to soften, before being pressed into tight grained French Oak Barriques.
