Shallow Fry: Remove steak from packaging and place onto large plate. Season steak with salt and pepper (optional) and allow steak to come up to room temperature for approx. 15 minutes. Heat 1 tbsp. of oil in frying pan over a high heat. Add steak to the pan, and cook for 4 minutes, turning half way through.
Reduce temperature to a low heat.
For Rare cook for a further 5-7 minutes.
For Medium cook for a further 7-9 minutes.
For Well Done cook for a further 9+ minutes.
Tum steaks regularly. Allow steaks to rest for 3 minutes.
Cooking times will vary depending on the size and thickness of the steak.
Food Safety
Store beef covered at the bottom of the fridge. Always wash work surfaces, equipment and hands before and after preparing food and after disposal of packaging. It's safe to serve steak rare (not cooked in the middle) as long as it has been properly sealed on the outside by cooking quickly at a high temperature.

Home freezing
For best quality, freeze as soon as possible and always within the use by date. Use within 3 months. Defrost in a fridge. Defrost thoroughly before cooking and use within 24 hours.
