The name chianti derives from a geographical area in the Tuscany region and has an Etruscan origin. Thanks to the excellent microclimate of the area, chianti reflects the characteristics of the terroir it represents and is a soft, pleasantly fruity wine with a strong and well-defined character. The best combinations are with roasts and grilled red meats, served at 16-18°C.
